Construite sur le même principe que les compiles précédentes, "Excursions" est le modèle même de la compile pour nourrir l'esprit. Présentant par ce biais les nouvelles prods du label, Mo'Wax essaye une ouverture nouvelle sur un aspect autre que le hip hop : l'ambient dans le breakbeat. Un voyage où les guides s'appellent David Caron, The Prunes, DJ Solo, Twig Bud, DJ Shadow...
