Deuxième album et deuxième sortie chez Warp (après un maxi "Port Rhombus E.P."), le label d'Aphex Twin. La filiation est d'ailleurs évidente. En 12 compositions bien barrées, Tom Jenkinson (Squarepusher, c'est lui, tout seul) malaxe et triture en speedant au maximum electro, drum'n'bass et jungle qu'il mélange à des ambiance free-jazz et des nappes apaisantes. Chez Warp, il y a deux artistes vraiment importants, ce sont Squarepusher et Aphex Twin. Deux petits génies dont l'âge cumulé ne dépasse pas 50 ans. Tout aussi fertiles et créatifs, ils n'imposent aucune règle, bien au contraire.Entre Weather Report et , avec un peu du génie de Norman Whitfield, des Temptations (à la grande époque)...
