Bon, déjà, vous pouvez aller lire ma chronique (énervée avec dérision) du dernier concert de la bande à Clinton de l'hiver dernier au Bataclan. Ça y est? Bon, vous voyez de quoi je veux parler : le funk master! On trouve ici la grande majorité des méga-bombes de la p-funk crew, soit une sorte de compil' best of en public (sauf que "Funkentelechy" jamme pendant 24 minutes...). Le son n'est pas hypra-top, mais ça ne dérange que les clients des supermarchés exclusivement, les funksters s'en foutent. Ce qui est important, c'est le groove, l'attitude... le fonk! Rien ne remplacera le fonk de la bande d'allumé de Clinton. Au choix entre ce live et un concert hippie folk-rock, même formidable, je prends le fonk. Même si les qualités de compositeur de Clinton se sont affaiblies depuis un bout de temps maintenant, le Mothership du p-funk déchire toujours autant live. Alors plutôt que de découvrir ça en studio, commencez par un double live. Celui-ci contient toute l'énergie nécessaire au décollage du fauteuil immédiat.
